Our Mission

Loving:
We love God because He loved us first and displayed and extended His  love to us through the death of Jesus on the cross (1 John 4:10). Our response to God is love and adoration! Without Christ we have no hope and are dead to true life (Ephesians 2:1-10). We now live in new life and it is the love of Christ that compels us toward becoming, giving, and guiding (2 Corinthians 5:14-15).

Becoming:
We are becoming like Christ by being His disciples. A disciple is a student, or learner, and our desire is to learn from Christ and take on His character. Much like an apprentice studies under an expert in his or her field in order to become like that person, so we desire to be like Christ. The goal is transformation! We don't merely want to change our outward actions but rather we desire to be like Christ from the inside out. (Matthew 13:44-46, 28:18-20, Galatians 4:19, Colossians 3:17)

Giving:
We give ourselves away to one another and to the world:

We give ourselves away to one another as we live in community. We are committed to being a part of one another's lives and to loving and serving one another. We strive to be a community of people within our community that attracts others to the authentic relationships we share with one another through Christ. We are committed to living differently because Christ has made a difference in us. (Jeremiah 29:4-7, John 17:15-21, Acts    2:42-47, Philippians 2:1-4, Ephesians 4:1-6)

We give ourselves away to the world both locally and globally by serving others. We believe that every member of our church is a missionary. We are committed to bringing the good news of Jesus to everyone we come in contact with. We live and speak the good news of Jesus. (Matthew 28:18- 20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8)

Guiding:
We are guiding others to find new life in Jesus Christ and to becoming like Him. We are committed to the task of making disciples. (Matthew 28:18- 20)
